Ramble on
This is the story of the girl who swallowed a star.
This is the story of the girl who swallowed a star.
And within a second the world came to a stand still.
Maybe it wasn’t the world making her crazy.
Maybe it wasn’t her family, her friends, her bosses, maybe it was her.
Her belief that she had seen and experienced it all.
Her cynicism had become her dominant mode of thinking. And it killed everything that gave her a spark of hope.
The fire of her life had been put out by the wind too many times for her to keep relighting it.
I really gave up on myself this semester when I should have just given up on everyone else.
And her sadness emerged from the pits of her stomach, to her throat, where it lodged a painful obstruction, making her unable to utter her own pain. She could feel it, but could not speak of it.
The blockage became so large that her sadness overflowed to her face, her body, her movement. And soon her sadness became just another part of her, and it followed her everywhere she went.
